How we collect data

When visitors post comments on the website, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, the visitor's IP address and the user agent string (which identifies the browser) to help detect spam.

An anonymized string of characters (also known as a hash) can be created from your email address and passed to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

How long we store your data

TranslatePress

To provide multilingual content, we use the plugin "TranslatePress". When using the automatic translation function, page content may be transmitted to and processed by the Google Translate API or the DeepL API. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our content in multiple languages (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).

WP Mail SMTP

For the reliable delivery of emails (e.g. via our contact form), we use the plugin "WP Mail SMTP". Emails are sent via our mail server at Froxlor, hosted by INWX GmbH & Co. KG, Kaiserslautern. The email addresses and message content you provide are transmitted and processed accordingly. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures as well as our legitimate interest in reliable email delivery (Art. 6 (1) lit. b, f GDPR).

OMGF (Host Google Fonts Locally)

To avoid transmitting your data to Google, we use the plugin "OMGF" to host the Google Fonts used on our own server. No connection is made to Google servers when loading the fonts.

Head & Footer Code

We use the plugin "Head & Footer Code" to integrate scripts in the header and footer area of our website. If tracking or analytics tools are integrated in this way, we will inform you separately at the relevant point and, where necessary, obtain your consent via our cookie banner.

Severability clause

All content has been compiled to the best of our knowledge and belief. If some of the points listed here are not valid, this does not affect the validity and correctness of the entire data protection agreement.
